Inspired by all things southern, these works display a strong personality and perspective; a unique sense of color, natural and easy composition. A mostly self taught artist, Rudy is influenced by primative, blues and folk art. He has naturally strong and expressive strokes and a distinctive style.  Using vintage photographs as reference material, the images can feel familiar and warm, to those who appreciate southern style, yet contemporary at the same time. November 29- Art market of New Orleans- Palmer Park Due to a high possibility of rain , this market has been moved to Sunday, November 30th. No slideshow this week, but come by and see some of the newest cut outs. Hope to see you all there.

New and Special projects: Walking to New Orleans-New SHOES!  I'd like to extend an invitation to you all to take a moment and check out my new side project, SHOES! In tandem with KEDS! and Zazzle.com, I have created a line of custom ladies Keds using detail from some of my original work, along with clippings , pics and vintage advertising, all NOLA-centric. Of course, my favorite thing is to be out in my tent and talking to all of you.....or complaining about the heat. However, I am pleased to announce that on September 13th, a special piece, entitled " Stompin Tchoupitoulas" will be released as a wine label for the 2005 reserve cabernet for the Gundslach Bundshu Vineyard. Expect more on this front later. but , please , take a moment and check out the mock up and plan to buy a bottle for Christmas....and one for me.   Take a moment and check out the nice pic and blurb about one of my street car cutouts, taken at the Freret Street market by the blog StreetCarArt. ( my favorite is Maison Blanche) I have been filling some weekends down on the coast at the Pass Christian , Market in the Park.
